lemonade

(korean pronunciation - lemonadeu)

after all my complaining in a previous post about the sunkist lemonade ads, i have come to the conclusion that no one else likes them either. what has brought me to this conclusion? i can't find the stuff anywhere!

i went to about six different stores today looking for some and managed to find one that had three small bottles left. i was looking for a liter bottle of it, but nowhere from giant superstore to little market had it...so i got the three little ones. i just don't get it, is there a lemon shortage? has sunkist stopped making it? are all the stores not stocking it in protest of the terrible ads?

all i want is some le-le-le-lemonadeu! (and it's all the commercials fault!)

Liz belated Happy New Year. Hope all is well in Korea.

Just read you blog on kimchi, you really love the stuff don't you? Glad to see you enjoy the food a lot (at least I think you do???).

Interesting story on the naming of Kimchi, I'm gonna ask some friends if they have any info. Kimchi also has health properties Kimchi has been cited by Health Magazine as one of the world's five "healthiest foods," with the claim that it is rich in vitamins, aids digestion, and may help in preventing cancer.[3] The health properties of kimchi are due to a variety of factors. Kimchi is usually made with cabbage, onions, and garlic, all of which have well-known health benefits. Kimchi also has active and beneficial bacterial cultures, like yogurt. Lastly, kimchi contains liberal quantities of hot pepper, which has been suggested to have health benefits as well. (Wikipedia).

Anyway, just thought you might like to try Japanese Nato. Not sure if you can get hold of it in Korea but probably should. It's sticky soya bean. Quite good, try it with rice. Basically my Japanese friends say that 95% of non-Japanese can't eat it, and I want to disprove their theory.

By the way, don't suppose you facny writing the occassional blog entry on a poltical blog Safebald and I have running. Something on Iraq, the enverinoment, Korea? Or anything?

All the best (sorry for really long comment) Olly

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh Liz, since reading your article this morning I've got a sudden desperate urge for kimchi and rice. I'm now going to have to run to Chinatown to eat, and probably be late for work.

By the way the blog is:
